Graham C-Stores Company is a third generation family owned petroleum industry. Its roots began in the home fuel oil business in 1922. In time, the business has grown to 26 gas station/convenience store locations throughout the Chicago area suburbs including Munster Indiana. Position Title: Store Manager
Job Description: Managers for Graham C-Stores are WORKING MANAGERS. Managers are fully responsible for the complete day to day operations, appearance and maintenance of the facility to which they are assigned. To complete their assignment a detailed list is provided below for ready reference.
Your Supervisor will provide instruction and direction from time to time. This direction is for your benefit and the smooth operation of your facility. Continue following direction given until expressly advised otherwise. Everyday routine should be followed everyday without change.
Store Managers are salaried personnel responsible for the oversight of 8 – 10 persons (or more) and are ON CALL 24 hours 7 days a week. This may require your working any and all days or shifts on any day including Holidays. (Excluding personal days or vacation)
Overview:
Managers are a key component of company store operations. They must be able and willing to follow direction as provided by supervisors. They must understand that their conduct sets the example for their staff and can undermine or encourage support of company policy. Being able to manage their time and complete tasks assigned sets the right tone for their employees.
Management and hiring of personnel is fundamental to a smooth operation. Managers need to know how to deal with routine employee problems, being able and willing to prepare work schedules that create a fair working environment within the budgeted hours assigned to the facility.
Problem solving and Customer Service are a high priority for all store Managers. Difficulties can be avoided by adhering closely to all policy manuals and procedures outlined here and in employee handbooks provided to all store managers and employees.
From time to time additional information regarding Company policy matters may be provided by Graham C-Stores Company and company representatives. Strict adherence to these procedures is of the utmost importance. Do not ignore these directives. Set the right example for your staff by following them day in and day out.
