Mr. Handyman is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Assistant Business Development & Project Manager to help grow and manage our expanding commercial division. This role combines business development, estimating, project management, and customer relationship management to ensure commercial projects are won, executed efficiently, and completed with exceptional quality.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable meeting with property managers, facility managers, and business owners as they are coordinating technicians, preparing estimates, and overseeing projects.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with commercial customers, property managers, and facility managers.
- Identify new business opportunities and assist with sales and account growth.
- Perform site visits, prepare estimates, and develop scopes of work.
- Manage commercial repair, maintenance, and renovation projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, materials, and schedules.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and profitability.
- Conduct jobsite visits to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular communication and project updates to customers.
- Resolve field issues and support technicians.
- Help expand recurring maintenance agreements and long-term commercial partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of commercial construction, facilities management, project management, or business development experience.
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
- Experience estimating and managing multiple projects.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read construction drawings and scopes of work.
- Valid driver's license.
