Job Overview
We are currently seeking 2 experienced Concrete Form Carpenters/Finishers for ongoing street and sidewalk panel projects throughout Jefferson Parish. This is full-time, outdoor work with consistent hours.
Important: Candidates must be able to perform both forming AND finishing, not just one skill set.
Key Responsibilities
Form Carpentry Duties:
Build and set forms for sidewalks, curbs, and street panels
Measure, cut, and assemble wood or metal forms
Ensure proper alignment, grade, and structural integrity
Set and brace forms to hold concrete during pours
Concrete Finishing Duties:
Pour, level, and smooth concrete surfaces
Use hand and power tools to finish concrete (trowels, floats, edgers, etc.)
Cut control joints and ensure proper curing
Repair surface imperfections and ensure quality finish
Requirements
Experience in both concrete forming AND finishing
Must have own hand tools for form carpentry and concrete finishing
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must pass a pre-employment background check
Reliable transportation (jobs located across Eastbank & Westbank)
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must have required PPE:
Hard hat
Class 2 safety vest
Work boots
