We are looking for a proactive HR Generalist to join a growing team in Sunnyvale, California in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role supports day-to-day human resources operations across recruiting coordination, employee records, payroll and benefits administration, compliance, and engagement efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment with confidential information, and experience working with HRIS platforms such as ADP Workforce Now.
Responsibilities:
- Manage recruiting support activities by coordinating interviews, assisting with candidate flow, facilitating background screenings, and preparing onboarding documents
- Maintain organized and accurate personnel records while updating employee information in HR systems, including ADP Workforce Now or comparable platforms
- Partner with payroll and benefits contacts to process employee changes, support enrollment updates, and help ensure timely and accurate transactions
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and other key employee lifecycle processes to create a smooth and compliant experience
- Support performance review cycles by tracking timelines, preparing documentation, and helping managers and employees navigate required steps
- Help administer separation processes by preparing appropriate records and ensuring documentation is handled properly and confidentially
- Contribute to employee engagement programs by coordinating events, recognition activities, and communication efforts that promote a positive workplace culture
- Prepare HR forms, correspondence, and reports while providing general administrative support to keep department operations running efficiently
- Monitor HR practices for alignment with federal and state employment requirements as well as established company policies and procedures
- At least 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar human resources position
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems, with preference for experience using ADP Workforce Now
- Experience supporting core HR functions such as recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee records, payroll, and benefits administration
- Familiarity with federal and state employment regulations and standard HR compliance practices
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Effective written and verbal communication skills along with a collaborative, service-oriented approach
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
