Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Part‑Time / Per‑Diem Electrician to support electrical projects across commercial senior‑living environments, including nursing homes, assisted living, and rehabilitation facilities. This role offers flexible scheduling for licensed electricians who want steady, meaningful work in clean, well‑maintained commercial settings. You will perform essential electrical repairs, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure all work meets safety and code compliance standards. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial senior‑living facilities, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and NFPA 70 (NEC).
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools (e.g., ohmmeters) and troubleshoot complex systems efficiently.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute wiring and installation tasks accurately.
- Perform high‑voltage electrical work and safely handle low‑voltage systems following all electrical safety procedures.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for wiring, conduit installation, panel work, and system upgrades.
- Conduct electrical inspections during renovation or construction phases to ensure NEC compliance.
- Collaborate with project teams on remodels, service work, and facility upgrades, providing expert electrical support throughout each phase.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Experience with high‑voltage wiring and commercial electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements and safe installation practices.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Experience working in occupied commercial environments (nursing homes, assisted living, hospitals, etc.) preferred.
- Construction site experience — framing, carpentry, or general handyman skills — is a plus for versatile project support.
- Strong understanding of local electrical codes, safety procedures, and best practices across various commercial settings.
