Job Description:
We are seeking a Pharmacy Program Manager to lead the management of key client accounts and pharmacy program operations within a growing pharmacy services organization. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client relationships, driving program performance, ensuring contractual compliance, and coordinating closely with internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in pharmacy operations or healthcare program management and brings a client-first approach to everything they do. You are equally comfortable building relationships, analyzing program data, and leading a team and you know how to keep complex programs running smoothly across multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, managing ongoing communication, relationship health, and issue resolution.
- Ensure adherence to contractual agreements and service level expectations across all assigned programs.
- Monitor program performance metrics, identify trends, and proactively present recommendations for workflow and process improvements to clients and internal leadership.
- Plan and lead scheduled client meetings and business reviews, presenting performance data, program updates, and strategic insights.
- Oversee contract compliance and reporting obligations, ensuring all deliverables are met accurately and on time.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports and presentations for client and leadership audiences.
- Lead, develop, and support a team responsible for program operations, providing daily guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Hire and onboard team members as needed to support program growth and operational demands.
- Build and maintain program training materials, standard operating procedures, and operational reference guides.
- Partner with internal cross-functional teams to drive program efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture that supports accountability and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, healthcare program management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including distribution, reimbursement, and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience managing client or partner relationships and delivering measurable program outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership experience including direct team management and staff development
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience using data to drive decisions
- Preferred: MBA, MHA, or advanced degree in a healthcare-related field
- Preferred: certification in Pharmacy Benefit Management or a related discipline
- Preferred: experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean
- Preferred: familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations and pharmaceutical industry standards
- Preferred: experience developing training materials and working directly with operational end users
- Self-starter with strong independent judgment and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Schedule:
- Full-time, salaried (exempt)
- Monday through Friday, standard business hours
- Hybrid work model; must be within commuting distance of Pittsburgh, PA
- Reliable high-speed internet required for remote work days
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is approximately $70,000 - $100,000 annually ($33.65 - $48.08 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
