EduCounsel is looking for a dynamic Licensed Mental Health Therapist for In The Gap Academy
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW-C or LCPC)
THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT — READ THIS FIRST
Most outpatient therapy jobs come with a no-show problem. Clients cancel. Slots go unfilled. Income is unpredictable.
This role is different. The Promise Counseling Center is the outpatient therapy arm of ITG Academy an ACHC-accredited SUD treatment organization with 30+ residential beds across five sober living homes and a full continuum of programs including PHP, IOP, OP, Medication Management, and DUI/DWI. Our clients live in structured housing, attend programming daily, and are accountable to treatment. When we refer clients to therapy, they show up.
That means: a near-zero no-show rate, a built-in referral pipeline, and a caseload you can actually build income on. If you are a fully licensed therapist who is tired of chasing cancellations and wants to do real clinical work with motivated clients — this is the opportunity.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide individual therapy to adults with co-occurring SUD and mental health diagnoses
- Maintain a caseload drawing primarily from the ITG Academy residential pipeline
- Provide group therapy sessions as caseload and programming warrants
- Complete diagnostic assessments and maintain treatment plan documentation per Medicaid standards
- Collaborate with the ITG Academy clinical team on integrated care planning
- Complete progress notes within 24 hours of each session — no exceptions
- Participate in weekly supervision/consultation as required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- LCSW-C or LCPC active and in good standing in Maryland required, no exceptions
- Experience with co-occurring disorders (SUD + mental health)
- Comfortable with Medicaid billing and documentation standards
- Strong clinical writing progress notes that stand up to audits
- Ability to manage a caseload of 15–25 clients independently
- Experience with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, or CBT strongly preferred
- Justice-involved population experience is a plus — many clients have legal history
