Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene while adhering to health and safety standards including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and independence among children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to build strong partnerships
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and development
- Follow mandated reporting laws for child safety concerns and document incidents accurately
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating patience and compassion
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety is desirable
