JOB OVERVIEW: The purpose of this position is to assist with answering phones, making reservations, working regular weekend and evening facility rentals, purchasing supplies for gift shop, and other general office duties as necessary. This position is located at Lindenwood Park in Defiance, Missouri.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Gives directions and offers general and specific information regarding facilities, policies and procedures and organized programs.
- Serve as on site coordinator during Old Peace Chapel and Grand Pavilion Rentals at the Historic Daniel Boone Home.
- Collaborate with Business staff on rental scheduling
- Communicate via phone, email, and in person with potential renters regarding rental policies, procedures, and questions
- Coordinate and give tours of Old Peace Chapel, Wedding Facilities, and Grand Pavilion to potential renters
- Greets the public and answers phones to provide information regarding facilities and events.
- Assists with on-site events and customers in the gift shop.
- Enters registration data into a computer.
- Assists with making copies, filing and performs other general office duties for department personnel.
- Assists with Wedding and Facility rentals as needed.
- Assists with park programs and special events as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from a general or technical high school or equivalent required.
- Requires 6 months of office experience with customer service and cash handling experience.
- Must be customer friendly with good written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computers, multi-line phone system and other general office equipment.
- Hours will vary depending on workload and peak times.
- Will be required to primarily work nights and weekends.
