Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating stand-up forklifts and other heavy equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within our distribution center. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, warehouse experience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Duties
- Operate stand-up forklifts, including reach trucks and Hi-Lo equipment, to load and unload shipments with precision and care
- Handle materials using various equipment such as pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and order pickers to optimize warehouse flow
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency
- Assist with order picking processes using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inventory counts and ensuring proper documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and improve overall distribution processes
Requirements
- Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution procedures including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials handling
- Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for forklift maintenance
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and weight measurements
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
