Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and independence. As a Lead Teacher, you will serve as a role model for both children and fellow staff, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention and high-quality care. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners and support their early developmental milestones in a dynamic preschool setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and child welfare protocols to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development strategies that incorporate childhood development principles and standardized testing where applicable.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings, reports, and updates.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on classroom management, child development instruction, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications, and licensing requirements for childcare providers.
- Lead classroom activities that incorporate physical education, math concepts, literacy skills, and social-emotional learning tailored specifically for toddlers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or preschool environments with a focus on toddler care.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management, classroom management, and childhood development instruction.
- Knowledge of special education principles and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in childhood welfare or mandated reporting laws are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Experience teaching physical education or implementing standardized testing procedures is advantageous.
- A passion for early childhood education combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
