Compensation: $20 per hour, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses (non-exempt position; eligible for overtime in accordance with California law).

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver to provide safe, timely, and professional transportation services to patients attending medical appointments, treatments, and healthcare-related visits. This position plays a critical role in ensuring passengers arrive safely and on time while receiving courteous and respectful service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including those with limited mobility.
- Secure wheelchairs and other mobility equipment when applicable.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain clean and sanitized vehicles in accordance with company standards.
- Accurately complete trip logs, mileage records, and incident reports.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding schedule updates, delays, or emergencies.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Report accidents, injuries, or vehicle issues immediately.
- Provide respectful and professional customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License (Class C minimum required).
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement may be required depending on the size and seating capacity of the assigned vehicle.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and DMV review.
- Previous professional driving experience preferred.
- Experience in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) or patient transportation is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Experience operating wheelchair-accessible vehicles and securing mobility devices preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with elderly and disabled passengers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and maneuver mobility equipment.
- Ability to assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and drive throughout the workday.
Work Environment
Employees work primarily in vehicles and outdoors under varying weather and traffic conditions.
