We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trucking Coordinator to manage inbound and outbound transportation operations across multiple warehouse and distribution locations. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating freight, communicating with carriers and customers, and ensuring shipments are delivered on time while meeting service expectations.
- Create and manage transportation shipments within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Obtain and compare carrier quotes to secure cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Dispatch shipments to approved trucking carriers.
- Track and monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery.
- Provide proactive shipment updates to customers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate shipment milestones and transportation records.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, warehouses, and carriers to ensure smooth operations.
- Resolve transportation issues, delays, and service exceptions.
- Collect, validate, and upload Proof of Delivery (POD) documents within required deadlines.
- Verify transportation charges and assist with invoice accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve transportation processes and operational efficiency.
- Train and support internal users on transportation systems and processes while ensuring compliance with company procedures and customer requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, freight coordination, or supply chain operations.
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple shipments while meeting deadlines.
- Office-based position supporting multiple warehouse and distribution locations.
- Occasional extended hours may be required based on business needs.
