Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health and be committed to providing high-quality mental health services to individuals facing various challenges. This role involves working with clients in a supportive environment, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote emotional well-being and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client goals and therapeutic approaches.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and case management activities.
- Educate clients about coping strategies, resources, and support systems available to them.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and shared experiences among clients.
- Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to mental health practices.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent in the state of Illinois practice.
- Experience in behavioral therapy, case management, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in counseling.
