Job Overview

Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises continuously.
- Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by verifying identities and issuing passes.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including performing first aid or CPR if necessary.
- Manage conflict situations with tact and professionalism, ensuring safety for all parties involved.
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as required to maintain a secure environment.
- Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and other safety tools when needed.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activity and preventing theft or vandalism.
- Conduct manual handling tasks safely when required, including heavy lifting of equipment or supplies.
- Document incidents thoroughly through shift reports and incident logs for accountability and follow-up.
Experience
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology, CCTV operation, and security systems is essential.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred; ongoing training will be provided if necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations calmly and effectively while maintaining safety standards.
- Familiarity with performing background checks and conducting thorough security assessments.
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking shifts.
- Strong observational skills combined with a proactive approach to loss prevention and risk management.
