Overview:
Franklin Machine Shop is seeking experienced CNC Machinist Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to read and interpret blueprints, programming machine tools, and manufacture close-tolerance parts. This role requires proficiency in operating and programming using EIA and Mazak Conversational controls on lathes and vertical milling machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CNC machining centers with precision.
- Proficient in EIA and Mazak Conversational programming.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth of cutting.
- Verify the dimensions of finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Select and maintain appropriate tools and fixtures.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, including working with physical components for reproduction.
- Ensure compliance with all ISO9001:2015 policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience in manufacturing parts to tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense and Ship Building Industry standards is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
