Location: Dayton, TX
Overview: Two Brothers Sporting Dogs seeks a Kennel Technician to join our team. The Kennel Technician will be responsible for the daily care and welfare of our resident dogs, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment is maintained for each dog.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for resident dogs, including feeding, cleaning, exercising, and administering medication
- Monitor dogs' behavior and report any concerns to the kennel manager or veterinarian
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kennel facility, including kennels, runs, yards, and equipment
- Conduct basic grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Interact with dogs to provide enrichment and socialization opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of dog care and behavior
- Assist with dog training and behavior modification as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the kennel manager
Requirements:
- MUST have your own transportation
- Previous experience working with dogs in a kennel or veterinary setting preferred
- Knowledge of dog behavior, basic care, and hygiene practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings as needed
- Willing to work outside in all types of weather
This is a part-time position with a competitive salary. The Kennel Technician will work as part of a team to ensure the highest level of care is provided to our resident dogs.
