Job Summary
We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to lead all warehouse and transportation personnel in our facility in Union County, New Jersey. Ensures timely and accurate receiving of materials, flow of materials to support production and shipment of full goods to customers. This position has direct responsibility to understand and uphold all Food Safety/BRC regulations.
Essential Functions:
1. Plans and communicates employee schedules to allow for appropriate coverage and efficient use of work hours.
2. Coordinates movement of materials between facilities to ensure materials are available for production and full goods are ready for shipment.
3. Plans and communicates drivers’ schedules.
4. Coordinates with 3PL warehouses for deliveries in/out of the facilities.
5. Manages the orders and deliveries for Restaurant Depot
6. Schedules pickup and delivery 3PL carriers
7. Directs and supports the organization of Allergen/Non-Allergen materials at facility to meet BRC compliance.
8. Manages logistics members work hours and vacations in HR System.
9. Trains and certifies prospective forklift drivers and electric pallet jack users.
10. Routes customer orders using the best combination of service and price.
11. Leads and organizes physical cycle counts and quarterly inventories.
12. Ensures and oversees FIFO rotation of materials and products.
13. Coordinates the building and staging of customer orders.
14. Confirms all Receiving/Shipping SOPs are followed.
15. Administers the cleaning and organization of shipping and holding freezers.
16. Ensures all personnel adhere to all company policies and procedures including SOP’s and GMP’s.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar position, particularly production scheduling, with proven, results oriented, skills and abilities. Organizational and team leadership competencies required. Basic technical know-how of diverse factory processes a plus.
4. Two years of supervisory experience
5. Knowledge of multi-culture work environment.
6. Act as a professional always.
7. Bilingual Spanish
8. Ability to effectively communicate, both internal and external at all levels
9. Provide rapid response to any inquiries
10. Professional attitude
11. Strong math, reading, writing and record keeping skills.
12. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
13. Related degree or certification is beneficial
14. Experience in food production or similar work preferred.
15. Ability to learn and apply company standards including, but not limited to, safety practices, GMP.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
