Drayage Coordinator will assist in scheduling drivers/owner operators for container movements to and from ports all over the US, Canada and Mexico to and from customer facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- provides load planning, driver scheduling/appointments, and coordinating duties
- maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all dispatchers and drivers
- provides constant communication to the ports, drivers, dispatchers and customers
- utilize our TMS system to address issues and document interaction
- respond promptly to driver or carrier needs
- accurate and timely data entry into our TMS of loads status
Requirements:
- minimum 1 year of experience with drayage / intermodal business
- time management skills.
- well organized with high attention to detail
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- ability to multi-task and yet be detail-oriented
- positive individual with a professional attitude, timely, reliable and has excellent follow up skills
