Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, organized and motivated Shipper / General Labor employee to join our team at our hard chrome plating and grinding facility. This position is responsible for preparing customer parts for shipment, receiving incoming customer parts, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with general shop duties. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, able to maintain an organized work area, and willing to help wherever needed in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Receive incoming customer parts and prepare outgoing repaired parts for shipment
- Package, box, palletize, and secure parts to prevent damage during transit
- Prepare shipments for UPS, FedEx, and common carriers
- Verify shipping paperwork and ensure parts are packaged correctly
- Organize incoming and outgoing customer parts to ensure accurate tracking and timely shipments
- Move parts and materials throughout the facility using a forklift or pallet jack.
- Keep shipping and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist other departments with general labor duties as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and work instructions
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience required
- Shipping experience is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle customer parts with care
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and keep work areas orderly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well independently and as part of a team

Shift: 7:00AM-3:30PM M-F
Pay: From $18.42 per hour
