Job Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications, the Communications Multimedia Manager supports the implementation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange communications plans and strategies to advance the life, mission, and ministries of the Congregation. The Multimedia Manager engages in the development and production management of digital, multimedia content, including but not limited to video, photography, and audio content that supports internal communication, brand-journalism (storytelling), and growth marketing strategies of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange and their ministries across a mix of media platforms. The Multimedia Manager interacts with the Communications team, Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange and St. Joseph Center staff, and a variety of people while engaged in projects and ongoing tasks. They participate in events as appropriate and related to their role. They will be a collaborator with strong organization and communications skills in this multi-faceted role that supports an organization with multiple departments and ministries.
Essential Functions:
· VIDEO PRODUCTION: Serves as the lead production manager for video content including developing concepts, pre-production, production (on set), post-production, and distribution of content to various media channels.
· PHOTOGRAPHY: Identifies and fulfills photography assignments that support communications, marketing, and brand journalism needs, including but not limited to posed and candid photography, event photography, and editing artwork images.
· AUDIO/PODCAST PRODUCTION: Serves as the lead production manager for podcasts or similar audio recordings including developing concepts for episodes or series, the full range of production, hosting and distribution. Coordinates congregational engagement in podcasts produced by others.
· USES MULTIMEDIA PLATFORMS: Manages some media platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, SmugMug, Liberated Syndication, and related tools for sharing media assets.
· CURATES DIGITAL ASSETS: In collaboration with Executive Director of Communications and Director of Archives, establishes systems for curating digital assets to preserve multimedia content for future use and reference, including but not limited to naming conventions, search methods, building collection sets, and digital restoration of past content.
· Collaborates with directors and designated stakeholders to help implement communication campaigns and projects
· Coordinates visiting film crews and photographers on St. Joseph Center campus
· Makes informed recommendations for equipment purchases
· Supports cross-department skill sets such as graphic design, print production, social media posts, and website administration.
· Interacts with a variety of audiences, organizations, staff and vendors
· Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Requirements (also see Position Qualifications)
· VIDEO PRODUCTION: Use of a DSLR camera, lighting, audio, set design, directing, interviewing, editing, color correction, audio mixing, titles, converting to media formats, and uploading.
· PHOTOGRAPHY: use of a DSLR camera and skills that include composition, lighting, and photo editing.
· AUDIO/PODCAST PRODUCTION: Application of skills similar to video production to create episodic content in relevant media.
· Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with various personality types to make them feel at ease

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education Requirements: AA Degree in Communications or related field
Preferred Education Requirements: BA Degree in Communications or equivalent experience in Communications
Minimum Experience Requirements: Demonstrated competence in video production and digital photography using a DSLR camera; demonstrated competence with editing software including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Premier Pro); use of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube; use of Microsoft Office; web-based applications.
Preferred Experience Requirements: Two or more years of experience in communications, video production, photography, and podcast production and related fields; demonstrated history of developing content with an excellent command of visual communications, brand journalism, and storytelling that represents an organization; experience working with other communications tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and website platforms such as WIX; experience collaborating with faith-based organizations is a plus.
