Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install windows and doors according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to accurately complete installations
- Read schematics and construction drawings to ensure precise placement and fit of products
- Perform caulking, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and metal stud framing to secure fixtures properly
- Conduct heavy lifting of windows, doors, and related materials safely on-site
- Apply construction estimating skills to assess materials needed for each project
- Complete remodeling tasks such as drywall repair, painting touch-ups, and fixture installation as required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project timelines
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work, carpentry, or remodeling projects with a focus on window or door installation
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading for precise work execution
- Knowledge of glass installation techniques and fabrication processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating methods
- Strong problem-solving skills with handyman experience or construction painting background considered a plus
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
