About Us
Imperial Health is a growing outpatient psychiatric practice in Texas dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan. We are seeking an experienced board-certified psychiatrist /MD to serve as a collaborating/supervising physician for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).
This is an ideal opportunity for a psychiatrist seeking flexible supplemental income with minimal time commitment. There are no on-call responsibilities, weekend coverage, or direct patient care requirements related to this role.
Position Summary
The collaborating psychiatrist will provide physician supervision in accordance with Texas regulations while supporting quality patient care through periodic chart review and professional collaboration.
This position is completely remote and designed to require minimal monthly time.
Responsibilities
- Establish a physician collaboration agreement with the PMHNP.
- Participate in monthly collaborative meetings (approximately 30–60 minutes).
- Be available for consultation regarding complex clinical cases when needed.
- Review and sign required supervisory documentation.
- Complete periodic chart reviews in accordance with Texas regulations and clinic policy.
- Provide guidance regarding evidence-based psychiatric care when appropriate.
- Participate in annual collaboration agreement renewal.

- Approximately 1 hour per month
- No nights
- No weekends
- No call coverage
- No administrative responsibilities
Compensation
Competitive monthly stipend based on supervision responsibilities.
Typical commitment is approximately one hour per month.
Compensation discussed during interview.
Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
- Active Texas Medical License
- Active Texas DEA Registration
- Good standing with the Texas Medical Board
- Experience treating psychiatric patients
Preferred:
- Previous experience supervising or collaborating with PMHNPs
- Outpatient psychiatry experience
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
