Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in supervising all kitchen staff to ensure smooth shift operations and high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Lead food production efforts, including menu planning, recipe development, and ensuring consistency across all dishes served
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Manage inventory control and ordering processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste
- Coordinate catering and banquet services, ensuring timely and quality delivery of large-scale events
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on cooking techniques, food presentation, and workflow efficiency
- Monitor compliance with dietary requirements and special requests to accommodate guest needs effectively
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in culinary arts and food service management
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading kitchen teams in fast-paced settings
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, inventory management, and food handling procedures
- Experience with banquet service, catering, and large-scale event preparation is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
- Familiarity with menu planning, kitchen management software, and inventory control systems
