Join our dynamic property management team as an Apartment Manager, where you will lead the day-to-day operations of residential communities, ensuring exceptional living experiences for residents and maximizing property performance. As an Apartment Manager, you will be the key point of contact for residents, staff, and vendors, fostering a welcoming community while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee leasing activities, including lease or rental agreement management, tenant screening, and move-in/move-out processes using property management tools such as Yardi, Rent Manager, and OneSite.
- Manage property maintenance requests and coordinate facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards.
- Administer budgeting tasks, track expenses, and support financial reporting to optimize property profitability.
- Enforce lease agreements and landlord-tenant laws, including Fair Housing regulations.
- Handle client communication with professionalism via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to address inquiries, resolve conflicts, and upsell available units or services.
- Supervise team members, providing guidance on conflict management, customer service standards, and operational procedures to foster a motivated and efficient team environment.
- Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and records related to property management activities such as contracts, legal documents, and maintenance logs.
Skills
- Proficiency in property management software including Yardi, Rent Manager, OneSite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and customer relationship management tools.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative experience.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
- Experience in property leasing, sales techniques, negotiation skills, and upselling strategies to maximize occupancy rates.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while overseeing property maintenance operations and facilities management tasks.
- Demonstrated conflict management skills with the ability to resolve disputes amicably while adhering to legal standards.
- Office experience with data entry, filing systems, administrative tasks, and familiarity with property management tools like Microsoft Office suite.
