LF Staffing is hiring a Diesel Mechanic / Driver for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Vero Beach, FL. This role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks, performing preventative maintenance, inspecting trailers and equipment, and safely transporting pumps, parts, and materials to job sites while following DOT and company safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair diesel-powered trucks and company vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled services.
- Repair brakes, suspension, electrical, cooling, and other truck systems.
- Transport, load, secure, and unload equipment and materials safely.
- Complete inspection, service, and driving records while following DOT regulations.
Requirements
- Previous diesel mechanic or heavy truck maintenance experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating trucks and hauling equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and perform physical tasks.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
