Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Light Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team.
Must have a clean driving record! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems in commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on light commercial HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and plumbing fixtures.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of system problems.
- Install new HVAC/R equipment following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation of all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving ammonia refrigeration systems or other specialized equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of construction principles.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design concepts, plumbing systems, refrigeration techniques, and property maintenance practices.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in appliance repair, equipment troubleshooting, welding, and boiler maintenance.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus.
- Strong field service skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R industry standards is highly desirable.
