Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead classroom instruction for preschool-aged children, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood standards and best practices.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to enhance learning experiences.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, behavior management, and child development instruction.
- Coordinate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records related to child welfare, attendance, and assessments.
- Oversee classroom environment setup to promote safety, engagement, and inclusive learning tailored for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for staff to stay current with early intervention techniques, standardized testing methods, and childhood development research.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of curriculum development tailored for early childhood education settings including preschool and toddler care.
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare environments; familiarity with daycare or private school settings is a plus.
- Strong understanding of special education needs and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with behavior management expertise to create positive learning atmospheres.
- Effective communication skills for parent engagement, team collaboration, and community outreach.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and Montessori principles where applicable.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures and child assessment tools to monitor developmental progress.
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones, early intervention programs, and preschool teaching methodologies including Montessori approaches.
