Canine Crews, a growing dog daycare and boarding facility (we welcome cats too!), is hiring Dog Handlers to join our passionate Crew! All of our team start as Dog Handlers and can eventually cross-train into other roles (lobby, shift-lead, ACE program, trainer, etc).

Pay & Schedule:
- Starting: $17.05/hour with potential increases up to $19/hour within the first year
- Training: 4-5 weeks in length
- Schedules: 22–28 hours per week to start. We are also looking for weekend evening availability.
- Part-time to start, with full-time opportunities available after 6 months–1 year
Shifts & Location:
- Shifts: 4-hour weekend or 6–8-hour weekday shifts
- Workdays include weekdays, holidays, and weekends
- Location: 1616 N Washtenaw Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 (must relocate before starting)
Responsibilities:
- Care for dogs: feeding, grooming, and exercising
- Ensure safety and well-being through proper handling
- Assist with training and manage behavioral issues
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas
- Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ needs
- Support managment staff as needed
