Join a Growing Real Estate Development & Construction Team
North Avenue Builders LLC is a vertically integrated real estate development and construction management company specializing in commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, institutional, and high-end residential projects throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator with 2–7 years of estimating experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates, analyze project documents, solicit subcontractor pricing, and help deliver competitive, profitable bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Analyze drawings and identify scope gaps and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop budgets and cost models.
- Prepare bid packages and proposals.
- Maintain pricing databases.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Evaluate value engineering opportunities.
- Support project turnover and change order pricing.
Qualifications
- 2–7 years of estimating experience.
- Experience with commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, institutional, or high-end residential projects.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Ability to read plans and specifications.
- Experience with estimating software.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or Procore.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Compensation
Salary: $80,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience.
Performance-based bonus opportunities available.

Office Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ
Occasional travel to project sites throughout New Jersey.
