Responsibilities
- Oversee the repair process from estimate to completion, ensuring all work meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Perform advanced auto body repairs including sheet metal work, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and auto restoration techniques
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to fabricate and repair vehicle structures and panels
- Manage shop workflow by assigning tasks to technicians, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of repairs
- Maintain accurate auto estimating documentation and communicate effectively with Insurance Companies and customers regarding repair status
- Uphold safety protocols by properly handling equipment like airless paint sprayers and welding tools while maintaining a clean work environment
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair shops specializing in auto body work
- Skilled in MIG welding, fabrication, sheet metal work, and auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in auto glass installation, auto restoration, and vehicle assembly
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service best practices for transparent communication with clients and insurance companies
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate power tools efficiently
- Prior experience managing or supervising a team of technicians is highly desirable
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes

Pay: $78,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
