Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing poverty and strengthening communities by providing a range of services and support to individuals and families throughout the Ozarks.
OACAC is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Energy Construction Crew Member. This role supports the Weatherization Program by completing construction-related work in client homes in accordance with program standards and safety requirements.
- Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Schedule may vary based on program needs
- Complete assigned work orders in residential settings
- Install and repair weatherization materials, including insulation, doors, windows, and air sealing components
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Work in attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders as required
- Assist with material handling, inventory, and job site preparation
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas
- Previous construction or weatherization experience
- Basic knowledge of residential construction practices
- Experience operating hand and power tools
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work in a professional manner with clients and staff
- Ability to safely operate tools and equipment
- Ability to obtain required certifications (e.g., Lead Safe Renovator)
- Starting pay: $18.00 per hour
