Job Summary

Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity
- Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws for child protection
- Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among children
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
- Familiarity with special education needs or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom activities effectively while ensuring child supervision at all times
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety
- Passion for nurturing young children's growth and creating a positive learning environment
