Non-Smoking
The City of Delray Beach is a Non-Tobacco Workplace. The City will not consider applicants who have used tobacco or nicotine products for a period of at least three months prior to application for employment. The definition of "tobacco or nicotine products" includes but is not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, pipes, snuff, e-cigarettes and nicotine patches or gum.
Field work executing a comprehensive, effective and efficient program and public education campaigns related to elimination of litter in designated areas of the City. Work is performed under general supervision.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Assist with the comprehensive Clean City Program by documenting current conditions throughout the City; keep informed of codes and ordinances affecting the abatement of litter; explore alternatives and best practices that may be implemented.

Performclean-upprojectsindesignatedarea;removelitter, debris, andgraffiti.

Maintain bus stops in the City by removing litter, trash, and graffiti.

Able to keep accurate daily and monthly logs.

Work with homeowner groups and perform public education campaigns designed to increase resident participation in litterabatementandraisepublicawarenessof environmentalissues;conductpublic presentations, publicize special events.

Trackandmanagesuppliesassociatedwiththelitterabatementprogram,ensureexpenses are appropriately documented and provide progress reports.

Fosters positive employee relations and employee morale on a City-side basis.
