Sage Bird is a small, locally owned business in Harrisonburg, VA that seeks to create a community space full of events with quality food, drinks, and service. We’re looking for a hard-working individual who can confidently work both alone & with a team in a fast-paced, small space Open Kitchen within the taproom.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen manager. Prepare sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, & charcuterie boards in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and utensils
- Stock and rotate food supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with food orders and addressing customer inquiries
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or kitchen environment is required
- Knowledge of basic food handling and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Kitchen Hours:
- Tuesday 5-9
- Wednesday 4-9:30
-Thursday 4-10:30
-Friday 4-11:30
- Saturday 11am-10:30pm, sometimes til midnight
- Sunday 11am-7pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
