CHDC’s Community Wealth Building team expands housing stability and financial empowerment programs serving low- to moderate-income communities across the San Francisco Bay Area. Based in Richmond, California, this VISTA project will build systems, tools, and partnerships to strengthen organizational capacity to expand access to historically underserved populations. This Vista role offers hands-on experience in program development, outreach strategy, and partnership building, with a focus on sustainable community impact. The VISTA member will build capacity to support the growth and effectiveness of housing counseling, financial education, and wealth-building programs. The members will also develop volunteer recruitment, training, and tracking systems, and build partnerships and referral networks. Additional activities include developing post-purchase and rental support tools and curriculum and creating evaluation systems to track program outcomes and measure impact.
