Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks
- Safely maneuver equipment including trucks, dump trucks, tilt trailers, dump trailers, to transport materials across construction sites
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Collaborate with team members to execute site plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational reports for project documentation
- Support site cleanup and organization by managing debris removal and material storage with heavy machinery
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active job sites with a strong understanding of construction processes
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery such as Sany equipment, cranes, dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and related farm machinery
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks or tanker vehicles
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and the ability to follow safety procedures rigorously
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor conditions for extended periods
- Basic understanding of concrete mixers and other specialized construction equipment is preferred
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
