Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Housekeeping & Laundry Aide to join our team at Meadow Falls of Middletown, an Assisted Living Community. As a Housekeeping & Laundry Aide, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This includes cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, and linens, as well as performing routine and deep cleaning tasks, collecting, washing, drying, and distributing resident laundry and facility linens.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily
Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks as assigned
Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and facility linens
Handle soiled linens according to infection control procedures
Maintain laundry equipment and report any malfunctions
Ensure adequate supplies are stocked (detergent, linens, cleaning products)
Follow safety guidelines and proper use of chemicals
Interact respectfully with residents, preserving dignity and privacy
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping or laundry experience (healthcare setting a plus)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Compassionate attitude toward elderly residents
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs
Frequent pushing/pulling of carts and laundry bins
