Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will support bartenders and the FOH team by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, clean, and organized, while also assisting in providing excellent customer service. This role is perfect for individuals looking to grow their experience in the hospitality and food service industry, particularly within fine dining settings.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and FOH area, including cleaning glassware and utensils.
- Assist bartenders preparation and drink assembly as needed.
- Restock supplies such as liquor, garnishes, and glassware throughout shifts.
- Operate POS systems (CLOVER) for order processing when required.
- Provide support during busy periods by bussing tables and clearing away empty glasses or plates.
- Engage with customers to ensure a positive experience, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Follow all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality preferred, including restaurant or hotel experience.
- Familiarity with food service practices and catering operations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience with cash handling and cashiering duties is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment typical of fine dining.
- A proactive approach to cleaning and maintaining the bar and FOH area is essential.
