Deer Park, NY: Mon- Fri 8:00am-3:45pm, 38.75 hours/week
Salary Range: $21 - $22/hr

Join ACLD - A leading not-for-profit agency employing over 1200+ people who assist children, teens & adults with developmental disabilities at over 70 sites in Nassau & Suffolk. A Life Skills Coach (Day Habilitation Specialist) helps people become more independent and aspire higher in their hopes & dreams.
We are currently seeking a few caring people to help people diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities to promote:
Life Skills Development | Community Integration | Independence
What exactly does that mean?
Life Skills: teach meal prep, handling money, etc.
Community Integration: group activities that promote socialization, transport people to and from their community activities and residence.
Independence: Help each person be better each day and proud of all they accomplish!
All you’ll need is:
- A clean, valid NYS Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with the intellectually and developmentally disabled population preferred, but will train
- Experience as Caregiver, Care Assistant, Personal Assistant, Resident Assistant, Direct Care Worker, Nursing Assistant, Home Care Aide, or Companion is a plus
