Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Semi truck pulling a set bottom dump trailers, his / her role involves route driving and delivering goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Depending on the job, pay is per hour, a % of the load, or my the job.
Duties
- Operate and drive different types of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Navigate assigned routes for timely delivery of goods.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- A minimum of 2 years driving experience in aggregate, sand & gravel hauling.
- Experience working in the construction industry hauling sand & gravel products.
- Familiarity with route driving practices and navigation tools.
- Ability to operate manual transmission or automatic vehicle.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
