Automotive Parts Coordinator / Parts Specialist
Family-Owned Collision Repair Business
We are a family-owned collision repair business looking for an experienced, dependable Automotive Parts Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have collision repair parts experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work closely with vendors, dealerships, and our body technicians to ensure the correct parts are ordered and received in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Utilize CCC, PartsTrader, and CollisionLink to identify, source, and order accurate collision repair parts.
- Check in and inspect incoming parts for accuracy, damage, and completeness.
- Contact and communicate with multiple parts vendors and dealerships to locate and source parts.
- Compare parts availability, pricing, and delivery times to help keep repairs moving efficiently.
- Work directly with body technicians to identify and verify the correct parts needed for each repair.
- Assist technicians in resolving parts-related issues and obtaining accurate replacements when necessary.
- Maintain organized parts records and keep track of ordered, received, backordered, and returned parts.
- Communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies, damaged parts, incorrect parts, and returns.
- Use a computer and phone throughout the workday for ordering, communication, research, and documentation.
- Help maintain an efficient parts process so vehicles can move through the repair process without unnecessary delays.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive collision repair parts is strongly preferred.
- Experience with CCC, PartsTrader, and CollisionLink is required.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and collision repair terminology.
- Excellent communication and customer/vendor service skills.
- Comfortable communicating with multiple vendors and dealerships.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable using computers, phones, email, and automotive parts software.
- Must be a team player who works well with body technicians and the entire repair team.
- Reliable, organized, and able to follow through on tasks.
