Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, water heaters, and water softeners.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, and other professionals to ensure plumbing systems are properly installed and functioning.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to emergency plumbing calls and provide immediate solutions.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a plumber in residential or commercial settings.
- Proficient in pipe threading techniques and the ability to work with various pipe materials (copper, PVC, PEX).
- Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints to understand the layout of plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration with plumbing systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for commercial driving purposes.
- Experience in building construction or remodeling projects involving plumbing installations.
- Proficient in using hand tools commonly used in the plumbing trade.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues.
- Basic math skills for measuring pipe lengths, calculating angles, and determining pipe sizes.
