Position Summary
The Warehouse Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating a company-supplied 26’ box truck with lift gate to deliver palletized goods to customers along pre-determined routes and schedules. This role includes loading and unloading freight at customers location, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring full compliance with DOT regulations, including medical certification and hours-of-service logging.
Key Responsibilities
● Safely operate a 26-foot box truck equipped with a lift gate to deliver palletized
products to customers.
● Follow pre-determined delivery routes and schedules provided by dispatch or
management.
● Load and unload pallets using pallet jacks or manual handling at the warehouse and
customer locations.
● Load and Unload boxes directly to customers kitchens or storage locations
● Verify orders and delivery accuracy by matching manifests, invoices, and customer
delivery receipts.
● Maintain accurate delivery logs, proof-of-delivery documentation, and time records.
● Utilize the company-supplied fuel card according to policy and record fuel usage.
● Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and report maintenance or safety
concerns immediately.
● Follow DOT guidelines for weigh stations, inspections, and road safety
compliance.
● Log into the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) daily to accurately record driver hours
of service (HOS) and maintain DOT compliance.
● Maintain current DOT medical certification records and ensure ongoing compliance
with all federal and company health and safety standards.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle at all times.
● Represent the company professionally with customers, providing courteous and timely
service.
● Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including staging, receiving, and loading
shipments.
Qualifications
● Valid driver’s license (Class C or higher) with a clean driving record required.
● Current DOT medical certificate in good standing.
● 1+ years of experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle preferred.
● Knowledge of DOT regulations, including weigh station procedures, hours-of-service
rules, and medical certification requirements.
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle palletized freight safely.
● Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Must pass a background check, drug screening, and DOT physical as required.
Work Environment
● Primarily field-based with time spent driving and making deliveries.
● Frequent lifting, loading, and unloading of palletized goods.
● Exposure to outdoor weather conditions during deliveries.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
