We take pride in our work, our team, and our commitment to safety. We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Grounds Person to join our team and help support our tree crew in the field.
Position Summary
The Grounds Person plays a key role in supporting tree service operations by assisting climbers and equipment operators, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring job sites are clean and organized. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a team, and learning the tree care industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist tree crew with tree removal, pruning, and other tree care services
- Drag, stack, and load brush, logs, and debris
- Operate wood chippers and assist with other equipment as trained
- Maintain a safe and organized work site
- Set up and manage traffic control and safety zones when needed
- Fuel, clean, and perform basic maintenance on equipment and vehicles
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with crew members and customers when appropriate
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of tree service, landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (50+ lbs.)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license required
- Experience operating chainsaws, chippers, or similar equipment is preferred
