Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Form Carpenter Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise concrete finishing tasks, constructing and installing formwork, and ensuring the highest standards of quality on various construction projects. Your expertise in concrete pouring, finishing, and formwork construction will be vital in delivering durable, aesthetically pleasing results. Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble formwork using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and technical drawings to shape concrete structures according to project specifications
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and surface smoothing to achieve desired textures and finishes in compliance with blueprint specifications
- Install rebar reinforcement and perform rebar installation tasks to strengthen concrete elements
- Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery safely and efficiently on-site
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for formwork construction and concrete placement
- Conduct concrete cutting, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and tile laying as needed for project completion
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently while handling hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and performing demolition or restoration work
- Must have some basic scaffolding building experience and tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete finishing and formwork construction
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction tools, heavy equipment operation, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately for precise formwork setup and concrete placement
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to material needs for form carpentry and concrete finishing tasks
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete pouring techniques, and finishing methods such as troweling or broom finishes
- Experience working within safety regulations specific to construction workplaces including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols
- Skilled in the use of hand tools like hammers, chisels, saws; power tools including drills and saws; as well as heavy equipment such as mixers or cranes when necessary
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks typical of construction environments
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for site transportation needs
