Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to join our dynamic financial services team. In this role, you will support loan officers throughout the entire loan process, from origination to closing, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for clients. Responsibilities
- Assist loan officers with loan origination tasks, including gathering client documentation and preparing initial applications
- Support the underwriting process by reviewing financial documents, performing credit analysis, and verifying borrower information in accordance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines
- Coordinate with clients to collect necessary disclosures, such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) statements and contracts, ensuring timely delivery and compliance
- Help process loans by reviewing escrow details, calculating basic math figures related to loan amounts and payments, and preparing documentation for approval
- Maintain accurate records of loan files, processing updates efficiently while adhering to Fair Housing regulations and mortgage servicing standards
- Collaborate with banking partners and internal teams to facilitate smooth loan processing and ensure all steps meet regulatory requirements
- Support loan officers in managing communication with clients throughout the loan lifecycle, providing updates on status and next steps
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or in a similar role within financial services or banking environments
- Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing processes
- Familiarity with loan origination systems, TILA disclosures, contracts, and escrow procedures
- Strong understanding of credit analysis techniques and basic math skills necessary for calculations related to loans and payments
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality while complying with Fair Housing regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing is preferred
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, lenders, and internal teams effectively

Pay: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
