Surgical Technologist
Location: Herrin, Illinois
Pay Rate: $1,800 to $2,050/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day Shift, 8:00 AM 6:30 PM, 4 days per week with rotating day off; call required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced OR Technologist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Herrin, Illinois. This role supports surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, assisting the surgical team, handling instruments, and supporting efficient room turnover.
Responsibilities
Prepare the operating room, sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, draping, gowning, and gloving
Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures
Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sutures, and sponges
Support specimen handling, instrument decontamination, room turnover, and supply restocking
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an OR Technician program, approved training, or military/related technician experience required
Certified Surgical Technologist credential through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred
BLS/BCLS Certification Required
Minimum 2 years of OR Technologist or Surgical Tech experience required
