Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks.
- Manage construction site activities by moving materials like concrete mixers, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks efficiently and safely.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of construction sites by positioning machinery accurately for various tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively while adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Operate specialized farm machinery as needed for site development or related projects involving agricultural equipment.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on heavy equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, and front loader trucks.
- Familiarity with operating specialized equipment like concrete mixers and farm machinery in various construction or agricultural settings.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices related to heavy equipment operation on active construction sites.
