Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle transactions efficiently with cash handling, credit card processing, and sales transaction processing using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting in food handling and preparation as needed
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate the guest experience
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Basic math skills for cashiering and handling payments accurately
- Culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding food preparation and presentation
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and food industry standards enhances guest interactions
